With Julen Lopetegui’s future still very much hanging in the balance, Max Allegri is one of a host of managers who continue to be lined with West Ham.
Most West Ham fans are feeling extremely frustrated right now.
A large number of Hammers supporters have been calling for Julen Lopetegui to be sacked.
Chants of ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ rang out from the hardcore away support during the 3-1 defeat to Leicester last week.
West Ham felt ‘morally obligated’ to give Lopetegui one last chance.
But the feeling among supporters hasn’t changed after the win over Wolves.
If anything fans feel the game illustrated why Lopetegui is not the right man to take the team forward.
The Hammers were extremely fortunate to win the match against very poor opposition.

Just ahead of kick-off, news broke that Graham Potter has agreed in principle to take over at West Ham on an initial six-month deal if and when Lopetegui is fired.
The Wolves win clearly gives the Hammers boss a stay of execution through to the game against high-flying Bournemouth next.
But West Ham’s owners have demanded better from Lopetegui and the team.
The hierarchy agree with supporters that the team is a ‘very hard watch’.

Lopetegui remains under intense pressure at West Ham
They also agreed that tough-looking games against Bournemouth and Brighton next will be the true barometer for the manager.
Potter is not the only name that’s been in the frame to replace Lopetegui.
Italian boss Max Allegri is said to held preliminary talks with the Hammers.
Many supporters are dumbfounded that Lopetegui remains in the job with the likes of Allegri, Potter and others currently available.
Especially in the wake of highly-detailed leaks from the Hammers’ dressing room about yet more bust-ups with key players and serious unrest.
Unrest which has led to a mutiny in the ranks with five Hammers stars making it clear they want out if Lopetegui stays.
Unrest which has been there for all to see with Mohammed Kudus ranting at Lopetegui as he was subbed off against Wolves.
On Monday it was claimed West Ham want to appoint Potter on a short-term deal so they can leave their options open for Allegri at the end of the season.
According to reporter Alex Crook, the club are now discussing the possibility of hiring a manager on a temporary “caretaker” basis after Allegri told the Hammers he will take over – but not mid-season.
Now Allegri has ducked out of an interview after being asked about talks with West Ham.

Allegri ducks out of interview refusing to deny West Ham talks
The former Juventus boss was recently in London for an extended period to take English lessons.
It was claimed by a leading Sky Sports European football experts that was because Allegri was being lined up for the Hammers.
That claim came before West Ham fans called for Lopetegui’s head after defeat at Leicester.
Allegri made an appearance at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy for the inauguration of the “Shades of Blue” exhibition dedicated to the Italian international team.
The alleged Hammers target was described as being in ‘playful mood’ with the press as they suddenly asked him about talks with West Ham and whether he was making progress with English lessons as a result.
“How’s my English? Very good,” Allegri responded in English with a smile according to Calcio Mercato.
The report says Allegri’s ‘jovial mood continued’ as he ducked further questions about joining West Ham.
“Where’s the exit? Where’s the exit?” Allegri said in English when asked if he was going to be West Ham’s next manager before leaving with a laugh.
Allegri would have denied Hammers links if untrue
The big thing here is that Allegri did not deny there had been talks or whether he is interested in the job.
If there was no truth to the claims then he would have just flatly denied them wouldn’t he?
So, as the old saying goes, it seems there is no smoke without fire.
A journalist source close to the situation at West Ham exclusively revealed to Hammers News that different camps have been championing contrasting managers.
Technical director Tim Steidten is said to want compatriots Edin Terzic or Roger Schmidt.
Vice-chairman Karren Brady is pushing hard for Graham Potter – who is very close friends with her husband Paul Peschisolido.
Two unnamed agents described as “influential” figures in West Ham’s decision-making want Christophe Galtier and Allegri.
Meanwhile sporting director Noble, whose role now focuses primarily on West Ham’s Academy, wants Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick.
