Liverpool could scupper Man United’s plans for Martin Baturina
As reported by Caught Offside, Liverpool are considering making a move for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Martin Baturina.
The Reds’ interest in the 21-year-old could really hamper the plans of Man United, who are one of many clubs monitoring the young Croat alongside Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Barcelona.
The Croatia international has really come into his own this season in the centre of midfield and currently boasts two goals and seven assists in 21 games across all competitions.
Baturina is valued by Transfermarkt at €20 million and has a contract at Dinamo that runs until June 2028.
A spanner in the works
Baturina is capable of playing both deep in midfield and higher up the pitch, but this season he has been thriving in particular in the number eight role.

This makes him of particular interest to both the likes of Liverpool and United, who need a player of such profile in their ranks for their respective new coaches.
If the two were to present him with an offer, it’s hard to see why the Croat would not choose the Merseyside Reds.
