Journalist Florian Plettenberg has named six players Manchester United consider unsellable.
The Red Devils want to retain Amad Diallo, Noussair Mazraoui, Andre Onana, Kobbie Mainoo, Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.
The club are willing to keep other players, but their names have not been mentioned,
United are ready for a massive clear-out to improve their fortunes. Marcus Rashford, Cristian Eriksen, Casemiro and Antony are on the list of dispensable players.
De Ligt, Yoro and Mazraoui were bought last summer, so it is no surprise the club want to keep hold of them.
While Onana and Diallo have performed well this season. Mainoo is considered a future star.
De Ligt and Yoro are yet to sparkle, but it would be unwise to sell them without giving them ample opportunities to impress.
By contrast, Mazraoui has shown why United signed him from Bayern Munich with a series of strong performances.
Aside from his poor display in the 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford last weekend, Onana has largely been impressive this season.
He has kept six clean sheets in the Premier League, the most in the division. He also ranks first for most goals prevented (4.0).
Diallo is another player who has impressed. He has bagged six assists in the Premier League, the most in United’s squad.
The 22-year-old has adapted well in his new wing-back role under Amorim. It is no surprise that he is considered a part of the club’s future.
Mainoo has played well since making his first-team debut. He was nominated for the Golden Boy award, which was won by Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal.
The 20-year-old is yet to reach last season’s heights this season, but he is expected to be a vital player for United in the future.
