Dele has shared an update on his latest injury to his Instagram followers. The 28-year-old is out of contract after his Everton deal expired in the summer, but has been training with the club's first-team in an attempt to regain fitness.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star has not played a competitive game since February 2023 during a loan spell at Besiktas.
Everton were seemingly open to the idea of Dele signing a new contract after renegotiating the terms of his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur. However, after more injury setbacks he is yet to officially agree a new deal with the club again.

After it was confirmed recently that the midfielder was set for another prolonged stint on the sidelines, Dele posted some footage of his latest rehabilitation on Instagram.
"Create it," he wrote alongside a video of him taking part in a number of different exercises. "The life you want isn't out there. It's within you, watching for you to create it."
Everton manager Sean Dyche provided more details about Dele's recovery last week, revealing the player was frustrated after working so hard to get close to full fitness.
"Dele has had a minor thing but he's just taking a time out because obviously he's had a few now and he's just peed off with it," he said.
"So, we're just monitoring that at the minute. He's abroad at the minute but working. It's just a break from coming in, you know what it's like, it grips you then, so we said: "Yeah, yeah, of course".'
