Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca now seems to have a good idea of the players he sees as key to his side for Premier League games this season.
It is well-documented that the Italian has a number of options at his disposal, particularly in attacking areas.
The wingers have changed multiple times, however the last two full-strength Premier League sides have seen Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto start.
Some quality players have been left struggling for real opportunities domestically. Christopher Nkunku is reportedly frustrated with his minutes this season having made just two league starts.
This has been as a result of the great form of Nicolas Jackson, who has established himself as a crucial player in Chelsea’s system.

Nicolas Jackson nearly joined AC Milan instead of Chelsea
Fellow star Levi Colwill has described Jackson as ‘amazing’, and his eight goals is only topped by a number of players in the Premier League so far this season.
It very nearly ended up very differently for the Senegal international. He has claimed that he nearly made a move to AC Milan just before his switch to Stamford Bridge.
He told Amazon Prime: “I was actually supposed to go to another club, some teams were there, I think Milan, then my agent told me forget about that we’re going to Chelsea.

“I said ‘ah good’, he said too much pressure? No don’t worry, If I wasn’t ready I won’t go, I know I’m ready that’s why I came to Chelsea.
“I know the pressure there and I heard strikers that came to Chelsea and had a tough time but I was ready to face that
“Some of my friends told me in National team don’t go to Chelsea too much pressure. I said bro, we’re different, I don’t even want to listen to you, that’s why I don’t listen to some people you know.”
Pundits being proven wrong by Jackson
Many were quick to write Jackson off during his first season at Chelsea, even though he still put up very decent numbers as far as goals go.
Harry Redknapp has admitted he was harsh with his criticism of Jackson, while Gary Lineker has stated that Jackson is looking more confident this season.
The relationship the striker has struck up with Cole Palmer is a real benefit for the Blues, and given the fact the England international is the first name on the teamsheet for Chelsea it is always going to do his chances of starting good.
