Jose Mourinho wants to see justice served as Manchester City’s court battle over 115 charges has concluded.
The football world is waiting impatiently for the verdict but Mourinho doesn’t think City deserve to be relegated from the Premier League.
Mourinho has never shied away from back-and-forth confrontations with City boss Pep Guardiola. The pair have bad-mouthed one another in the past despite spending three years as colleagues at the start of their careers as football coaches.
Guardiola is under pressure after a slow start to the season, with City now unlikely to continue their consecutive run of four Premier League titles. He stirred the pot with Mourinho last week by comparing himself to the Portuguese manager, after gesturing six fingers towards Liverpool fans during City’s Premier League defeat at Anfield.
In a similar vein, Mourinho held up three fingers during the end of his time at Manchester United in 2018 when the pressure mounted on him.

Jose Mourinho changes his tune slightly
In a new interview, the Fenerbahce manager explains that he has affection for Guardiola from their time working together, so respect between the pair remains intact even though they often appear to be bickering at one another in the press.
Mourinho told Turkish outlet Fanatik: “Pep and I worked together for three years, we know we love each other.
“It is not true that I want them to be relegated, what is true is that I want justice. Small teams can sometimes be penalised by FFP when they exceed their limits by 5-10 euros.

“I also suffered due to the limits when I was at Roma. I don’t think this is fair.
“We love each other, he knows it. Words are one thing, feelings are another.
“All I want is justice, but we have no ill feelings towards each other.”
Mourinho makes a valid point after seeing how harsh the Premier League were with Everton when the Merseyside club breached their Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Mourinho has reason to be irked by Man City cheating
Mourinho had previously claimed that he could still add another Premier League title to his honours list, which includes three Premier League titles.
However, that will depend on the verdict from City’s trial.
It has been over a decade since United were crowned champions of England, but during that time the Reds have finished runners-up twice to City. There also nowhere near the top spot under Ruben Amorim currently.
Speaking to Rio Ferdinand about missing out on winning a title at United in 2018, Mourinho suggested that he could still end up victorious from that campaign.
“Maybe there is a chance we win that league no? If Man City is caught in Financial Fair Play breaking the rules, maybe they lose a few points and we win that title. We did the best we could do.”
Mourinho won two trophies during his time at United, including the Europa League and Carabao Cup.
