Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has shrewd business acumen when it comes to running football clubs.
He has quite the portfolio with Forest, Olympiacos and Rio Ave the three outfits that he currently owns.
However, Marinakis isn’t keen to rest on his laurels with the three clubs he’s got and the empire is only just beginning.
Marinakis has called out the authorities over VAR this season and ultimately, he’s not a man who is backwards in coming forwards.
The Forest chief has been keen to bring Edu to Forest – and his other clubs – to continue the fine work and reputation that he grew at Arsenal.
Marinakis has recently appointed Lina Souloukou at the City Ground too and it’s clear that he’s keen to continue progressing off the pitch.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis gets huge boost in quest to buy new club
The next club in the sights of the Forest owner is Brazilian outfit Vasco da Gama.
Now, according to News Colina, the Reds owner has been given a major boost in his quest to obtain another project.
MORE FOREST STORIES
It’s believed that former Leeds bigwig Andrea Radrizzani is no longer in the running to return to football with the Brazilian outfit.
That could see Marinakis move into pole position and perhaps it means that a deal is close between the respective parties.
Vasco purchase could be huge news for Forest
Forest have a burgeoning reputation when it comes to signing players from South America and it’s easy to see why Marinakis wants to make this move.
The likes of Murillo and Danilo have shone in the Premier League and the hope will be that more Brazilian gems can be unearthed by the Reds.
Gustavo Scarpa didn’t quite have the same level of success and Carlos Miguel is also vying for a place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.
It will be fascinating to see what the purchase of Vasco does mean for Forest and hopefully, things can speed up now that Radrizzani is out of the picture.
