Max Hudson is the latest youngster from Manchester City’s academy to be set for a place in the first-team squad.
Manchester City are set to go toe-to-toe against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men are in desperate need of a win, considering they currently sit in 20th place in the league phase of Europe’s elite competition.
The Sky Blues would ideally be wishing to qualify for a spot in and amongst the top eight in order to gain a direct berth in the Champions League’s Round of 16.
Manchester City’s official website has named Hudson in their 22-man travelling squad for the contest against Juventus.
Hudson is not the only City academy graduate who has been named in City’s roster, with Nico O’Reilly (19), James McAtee (22) Jahmai Simpson-Pusey (19) and Kaden Braithwaite (16) also included.
Here is all one needs to know about the new kid at the block.
Who is Max Hudson?

As per Manchester City’s official website, the youngster joined the club’s famed academy at Under-8s level.

The Manchester City prospect has taken veteran Scott Carson’s place in Manchester City’s squad to face Juventus, as confirmed by journalist Simon Bajkowski.
The Premier League champions’ three goalkeepers for the trip to Turin include Hudson, Stefan Ortega and Ederson Moraes.
Is Max Hudson on Instagram?
Hudson has an Instagram account, having amassed over 4,000 followers.
The young goalkeeper does not have an account on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Will Max Hudson start for Man City against Juventus?
It seems highly unlikely that Hudson will start against Juventus.
In the past three Premier League outings, Ortega has started in between the sticks for Manchester City.
After City’s 2-0 defeat against Liverpool, Pep Guardiola confirmed that Ederson remains City’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Guardiola said via City’s official YouTube channel: “Eddie is number one and Stefan [Ortega] is number two but maybe Stefan continues, we will see tomorrow, in the next days.”
Since then, Ortega has started against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace and it seems likely that either the German or Ederson will start against the Italian giants.
