Manchester United have decided that six of their players are ‘unsellable’ ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

United have entered a new era after Ruben Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as he prepares for his first transfer window as manager of the Red Devils.

It seems Amorim is already making key transfer decisions at Old Trafford, with United ruling that six players cannot leave the club any time soon.

That’s according to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, who reports that United goalkeeper Andre Onana is one of six players considered off limits.

The other five players United are unwilling to sell are Kobbie Mainoo, Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo, Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.

Mainoo, 19, is considered by many to be one of the most exciting teenagers across all of Europe and already has 10 caps for England.

Mazraoui, De Ligt and Yoro, meanwhile, only moved to United in the most recent summer transfer window.

Diallo is also off limits after his glowing start under Amorim, which has seen him provide four assists across his last four Premier League games.

‘He is really big in talent, but small in size!’ Amorim said about Diallo earlier this month after his two assists in a 4-0 victory over Everton.

‘He did a great job but he also has to improve. He is [in] a great moment. Ruud van Nistelrooy helped him a lot in his games in charge and now he’s helping me.’

Amorim lauded Mazraoui this month too, declaring that the 27-year-old Morocco international defender was the ‘future’ for United.

‘He’s a top player,’ Amorim told reporters. ‘He understands the game. He knows how to attack, he’s very technical, he’s very good defensively and he’s very good one-on-one.

‘He’s a modern player. I think he’s the future of our team. When you think about him, you think we need more players like Nous that can control the tempo, they are really, really good and comfortable with the ball. So, Nous, I’m really happy with him.’
