Arsenal have joined the race for Argentine forward Santiago Castro. The young striker is being looked upon by many Premier League clubs. In addition, Italian giants are also in the mix due to his top form in Serie A this season.
Santiago Castro has been very good this season as he has given the role as regular starter. He has so far scored 5 goals and picked 6 assists for Bologna across all competitions. Out of those, 4 goals and 3 assists have came in Italian top flight league.
Castro has also performed well in Champions League but is yet to score or assist any goal. His rest 1 goals and 3 assists came in a single Coppa Italia game. Castro is only 20 years old and hence he is only going to get better in time.

Despite the 20 year old joining Bologna in January 2024, he is being linked to many top clubs. Bologna will find it hard to keep the hold of the player and CaughtOffside have reported that they may sell him for around €40 million next year.
The report further adds that Arsenal are not the only club in the race to sign Castro. The 20 year old is being looked upon by Newcastle, Everton and Aston Villa. This suggests that a move to Premier League is very likely but Juventus and Inter Milan are planning to extend the Argentine’s stay in Italy for long time.
Joining any of these clubs will be a huge step up in Castro career. He will like to play at highest level and will expect a call from Argentina national team for the first time in his career very soon.
However, they player may not get regular game time at top club. As of now, he will have best chance to play regularly at Everton. Later, he may get regular chances at Newcastle or Juventus if there current strikers leave the club next year. As of now, both Isak and Vlahovic are linked with move away from their respective clubs.
