Leicester City fans in total agreement as £80,000-a-week star tipped to join Ruud van…

Leicester City want to strengthen their squad in the 2025 January transfer window.

The Foxes remain firmly in the relegation battle as we head toward the midway point of the 2024/25 season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy may have opened up a five-point gap between Leicester City and the bottom three since his recent arrival.

But with some really trick fixtures coming up, there’s every chance the Midlands outfit will slip into the bottom three before the month is out.

In turn, it is imperative the Foxes strengthen their squad during the upcoming January transfer window.

Leicester have been linked with Ezechiel Banzuzi this week after he has been impressing at their sister club.

Elsewhere, Van Nistelrooy has been backed to sign Ismael Saibari from PSV after previously working with the versatile midfielder in the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, according to Football Insider, Leicester are looking to secure the return of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea next month.

Leicester City fans make feelings on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall transfer clear

The midfielder left the King Power over the summer, joining Chelsea where he is now earning £80,000-a-week, according to Capology.

Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 and assisted 14 in 44 Championship matches last term – a tally you would assume would have fans begging for his return.

However, after links to the 26-year-old emerged, Leicester supporters have taken to social media to state that they don’t want him back right now.

One fan wrote: “Not convinced KDH is a Premier League player I know everyone loves him everyone loves a local lad, but our priorities for our meager resources lie elsewhere Right back, centre back, right-wing and arguably left wing too We’re also a Hermansen or Vardy injury away from finishing 19th.”

A second responded: “I agree with you he’s not our priority to sign when there are other positions we need depth in, but to say he’s not a Prem-level player is outrageous”

“He wasn’t Premier League quality last time he played for us in the Prem. He’s got better since then but we can definitely get better players than him,” a third added.

A fourth Leicester fan wrote: “I would say we don’t need him! Buonanotte is a better player and El Khannouss could be a better player as well.”

Another stated: “I’d agree. Can’t let the heart rule the head here,” while a sixth echoed: “I agree, not a patch on Facundo and other positions are in need of bolstering. He wouldn’t massively improve us as he’s a bang-average Prem player.”

A seventh Foxes fan predicted: “Hopefully not, I can just tell it’s going to go badly.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall stats compared to Leicester midfielders

It’s easy to see why Leicester fans may not want their club to re-sign Dewsbury-Hall once the window opens.

A centre-back, full-back and a winger are all much higher priorities right now, especially given the number of options available to Van Nistelrooy in the centre of midfield already.

And given his lack of playing time since moving to Stamford Bridge, Dewsbury-Hall would likely need some time to get up to speed, which isn’t really what a club in a relegation battle wants.
