Manchester United have had a mixed start under new manager Ruben Amorim and they recently suffered a 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
The manager made four changes to the starting line-up for the game and the Portuguese is likely to continue with the rotation with the fixtures coming thick and fast.
United are scheduled to face Viktoria Plzen away in the Europa League tomorrow. Ahead of the game, they have received a triple boost with Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Toby Collyer in training.
Lindelof returned to regular training prior to the Forest clash last weekend and in our opinion, he could be in line to make his first appearance under Amorim in Czechia.
The Swede previously played with Amorim when the duo were at Benfica. He was very excited over a reunion last month, but unfortunately picked up a hamstring injury.
The central defender, who was described as ‘brilliant‘ by former manager Erik ten Hag, has now returned to full fitness and he could start in the back three tomorrow.
Lindelof has already played in a 3-4-2-1 system for his country. He has generally operated from the right side of the back three and could occupy the same role against Plzen.
The 30-year-old has been a fringe player for United for some time. The Swede is fighting for his club future at the moment with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign.
Lindelof has impressed in Europe this term with a passing accuracy of 89 percent and 74 percent duels won, but he needs to stay consistent to persuade Amorim into keeping him.
Meanwhile, Noussair Mazraoui has been the regular in the right centre-back position, but the Moroccan could play higher up as the right wing-back with Amad Diallo being rested.
