The [Dallas Cowboys](https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/) two-game winning streak came to an abrupt end on _Monday Night Football_ after yet another disappointing 27-20 loss to the [Cincinnati Bengals](https://www.cincyjungle.com/). All of the positive vibes this team was sending out here recently have once again turned negative, leaving more questions than answers about where this team is heading in the future.
While questions remain about the Cowboys and the future of the organization, the current state of things leaves much to be desired with four games remaining on the 2024 schedule. This team was showing signs of life heading into this Week 14 matchup with the Bengals, but ultimately any good was once again outweighed by the bad and ugly.
Today, we're going to take it to look at one good, one bad, and one ugly thing from this Monday night matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals.
### **THE GOOD - RB Rico Dowdle**
After rushing for 112 yards last week against the Giants for his first career 100-yard game, Rico Dowdle doubled down this week with a career-high against the Cincinnati Bengals by rushing for 131 yards. With four games remaining on the 2024 regular-season schedule, Dowdle has a chance to surpass 1,000 rushing yards this season. In doing so, he's also making a case for himself to be a top priority re-sign in the offseason for the Cowboys. It's going to be really interesting to see how he finishes out the rest of the season.
### **THE BAD - DeMarvion Overshown's season-ending injury**
The Dallas Cowboys season has suddenly gone from bad to worse. DeMarvion Overshown sustained his second season-ending the injury Monday night, but this time to his right knee. This knee injury is much more substantial than the previous one. He tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL and will require significant recovery time, putting his availability in doubt for the 2025 season. This is a huge gut punch for not only No. 13, but for the Cowboys as well. Overshown was a bright spot this year and was playing like a superstar in the making.
### **THE UGLY - Red zone turnover and special teams gaffe**
If you want to point the finger as to why the Cowboys lost on _MNF_ to the Bengals, look no further than their league-leading seventh red zone turnover and the blocked punt special teams gaffe. Cooper Rush's INT in the red zone in the first half kept them from putting points on the board and the Nick Vigil blocked punt recovered by Cincinnati after being touched by Amani Oruwariye ended up sealing their fate. Two plays later, Cincinnati clinched the victory on a 40-yard touchdown by WR Ja'Marr Chase.
