To say that this has been a disappointing season for the New York Jets would be an understatement.
The team was expected to compete for a Super Bowl but won’t even make the playoffs.
They’re currently riding the league’s worst postseason drought, and not even landing Aaron Rodgers was enough to turn their fate around.
To make things worse, they could lose one of their best players.
The is a belief around the league that star wide receiver Garrett Wilson will request to be traded this offseason.

It didn’t take long before the fans reacted to this rumor:
As he should he's got skill but no qb especially with A Aron bout to be gone too .
— David Rodriguez Jr (@coachrodx23) December 11, 2024
He shouldn’t ask for a trade, he should demand it

I honestly hope he does. Would be a HUGE asset to so many teams!

I don't blame him, I'd love for him to stay with us but we're a team going nowhere

Wilson was expected to take a big leap with Rodgers at the helm, but that wasn’t the case.
Of course, it’s not his fault, as Rodgers hasn’t been the same explosive passer of old.
He’s attempted mostly short and intermediate passes, and the offense hasn’t been proficient.
On top of that, the Jets also added Davante Adams to the mix.
And while Adams might also force his way out of the Big Apple, having him there took touches away.
Wilson is a talented wide receiver who’s posted great numbers despite always having a subpar quarterback on his team.
Should he demand a trade, the Jets could get a steep value in return for his services, given that he’s young and has a high upside.
There’s no official word on Wilson’s desire to be traded.
But for now, things don’t look very good for the New York Jets.
