Real Madrid travelled to Glasgow where they will meet Celtic for matchday 5 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Las Blancas qualified for the quarterfinals following the win against Twente on the previous matchday. The white club sits in second place in group B with 9 points, only losing against Chelsea on the first matchday. The UWCL debutants Celtic are yet to score a point in the Champions League.
As for availability, Antonia Silva is back from injury, while Maëlle Lakrar and Melanie Leupolz join the list of absences for this match.
“For me, it’s special to play in Scotland and to do it with Real Madrid in the Champions League is like a dream since I was little. We are going to continue fighting to fight for first place. It will be difficult, but it’s exciting to visit Scotland,” Caroline Weir speaks in the press conference ahead of the class with Celtic.
