Analyst Says Patrick Mahomes Is Out Of The Michael Jordan Comparisons

The Kansas City Chiefs have only lost one game this season.

Then again, despite their 12-1 record and back-to-back Super Bowl titles, most people no longer consider them the best team in the National Football League.

Their defense continues to be one of the best in the game, but their once-explosive offense has left plenty to be desired this season.

With that in mind, sports analyst Rob Parker argued that Patrick Mahomes is officially no longer a part of the Michael Jordan conversation.

On FOX Sports Radio, he argued that prime Michael Jordan never had a down season; thus, Mahomes can no longer be compared to him.

🎙️@Kdubblive: "Mahomes is looking like Jordan because he's already done half of what Jordan did at 27. He might go another 10-12 years." pic.twitter.com/bPf5lEQjra

Mahomes’ season has been his worst in the league.

He’s completed 68.1% of his passes for 3,189 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Of course, the team has relied heavily on the passing game, and their pass-catchers have dealt with many injuries.

Also, it’s worth noting that Mahomes has constantly responded when his team has needed him, taking a big leap forward in the fourth quarter and down the stretch.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs continue to find ways to win games.

Style points aren’t always there, and there are more than enough reasons to have valid concerns about this team come playoff time.

However, if history has taught us something, one can never sleep on the Chiefs.

This team has been doubted repeatedly and still ended up with a parade.
