Samsung is set to introduce Call Transcripts in its upcoming One UI 7.0 update, allowing users to record voice calls and get AI-generated transcriptions. The feature's already live in the beta for Galaxy S24 users in the US.
You can easily start recording calls whenever you want, and everyone on the call gets a heads-up when recording starts. You'll get both crystal-clear audio recordings and AI-generated transcripts.
This tool supports transcription in 20+ languages, not just English.
Samsung isn't outright calling it a call recording feature, but the Call Transcripts function basically does the job. It's a big deal since call recording has been tricky to pull off in the US due to legal hurdles, as reported by Sam Mobile.
Samsung's new Call Transcripts bring it in line with the competition—Google's got "Call Notes" on Pixel, and Apple rolled out a similar feature in iOS 18.
The Call Transcripts feature is currently part of the One UI 7.0 beta for Galaxy S24 devices in the US. It is expected to be included in the stable version of One UI 7.0, which is expected to be released in January alongside the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
