'Still more to come': Jason Cundy excited by'excellent'Chelsea player who's got more to give

Jason Cundy has shared his excitement about a Chelsea player who’s got the potential to bring even more quality in his performances at Stamford Bridge.

The big positive is that there is so many individuals in the Chelsea squad enjoying fantastic form right now. As a result, the Blues are on a five-game winning streak across all competitions, which they’ll hope to extend during a busy festive schedule.

Gabriel Agbonlahor praised a Chelsea trio by naming them in his Premier League Team of the Week after the Blues 4-3 away win at Tottenham.

Jason Cundy excited by Jadon Sancho

Jason Cundy has shared his enthusiasm about Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho.

The 24-year-old winger started and scored a stunning goal from outside the box during Sunday’s league win at Spurs.

“He was excellent [against Spurs]. Him and [Marc] Cucurella linked up really well. That goal, you can’t underestimate how big it is,” Cundy told talkSPORT.

“Jadon Sancho is starting to show what he’s got ability-wise… At the £25m we will be paying, that is not a risk. For a young English player, that is not a risk. There is still more to come.”

Ian Wright claims Chelsea’s Sancho has rediscovered his form since his summer transfer move. The Blues signed him from Manchester United on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy for £25m (BBC).

In 10 Chelsea appearances, Sancho has scored two goals and created five assists.

Despite all the severe competition in the squad, the Englishman is beginning to make the starting left-winger position his own.

Craig Burley agrees Sancho is back to his best at Chelsea as he produces the type of performances he’s not shown since his younger days at Borussia Dortmund.

Ranking Chelsea wingers

On paper, Chelsea have four main first-team wingers competing for two starting positions.

Sancho, Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Mykhailo Mudryk are the flying wide men in the Blues squad. Admittedly, the likes of Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku or Cole Palmer can fill into wide positions if needed.

So, which Chelsea winger is currently in the best form and pole position to start in the big games?

Pedro Neto

Jadon Sancho

Noni Madueke

Mykhailo Mudryk

If there was a cup final tomorrow, we’d expect to see Neto and Sancho start on the wings. That may seem harsh for Madueke, who’s enjoying a decent year himself, but it shows that the standards are very high this season.
