Arsenal face a side in Europe with plenty of narrative relating to the Gunners. From it being Arsene Wenger’s former club to a side Mikel Arteta played against during his PSG days to now having a former player from the Hale End academy, Folarin Balogun, there are plenty of links.
That said, the American international will not be involved as he is due to undergo shoulder surgery. But the French side’s injury issues pale in comparison to the Gunners’, Arteta may be without several players, with Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey missing from the open training session.
They, along with Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhaes and Josh Nichols are also problems to consider. There could be a very good chance Kieran Tierney could get some minutes for the first time this season.
Arsenal could move into the top four with a win tonight. It would be a big step forward after the disappointment of the weekend’s draw with Fulham.

It seems that when it rains it pours for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta has been hit full force by an injury crisis at full back that leaves him scrambling to put a defence together. He's looking to find the positives though.
"It is what it is," he said in his pre-match press conference. "We have to accept the challenge, and there are opportunities for other players (that come). In the ideal scenario, we are in charge of those decisions because it (injuries) is forcing us to make them for the wrong reasons. But we need to accept the reality and move forward."
With momentum absolutely crucial at this packed stage of the season, Arteta will want to get over Sunday's disappointing draw with Fulham as quickly as possible. Here's how **football.london** are expecting him to line his side up against Monaco on Wednesday evening.
