Will artificial gravity ever be possible?

Will artificial gravity ever be possible? Currently, all we can do is simulate the effect of gravity with rotating or accelerating spacecraft. The Alcubierre warp drive could theoretically warp spacetime and allow the creation of local gravitational fields, but it requires exotic matter and negative energy, so this just substitutes one impossible thing for another.

In 2016, Belgian mathematician André Füzfa suggested another theoretical way to generate gravitational fields using an electromagnetic field generated by a solenoid.

The effect is incredibly weak, however, and would require an electromagnetic field far beyond what we can currently produce, so this hasn’t yet been demonstrated experimentally.
