Arsenal player’s agents ‘lay foundations’ for January exit – Travelling for transfer talks

Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior has been linked with an exit from the Emirates repeatedly in recent months.

Napoli have been presented as one of the most interested clubs, and it’s been reported they’ve made an offer worth around €15m for the Poland international.

That wasn’t entertained by Arsenal, who are said to want €10m.

Il Mattino, as relayed by CalcioNapoli24, have reported that Napoli have found an opening in their efforts for Kiwior. That’s via the 24-year-old’s agents, who are trying to ‘lay the foundations’ of the Pole’s Arsenal exit in January.

Those agents could arrive in Italy very soon, with it even suggested the trip could take place within hours, to speak to Napoli about the move and thrash out an agreement for the versatile defender.

The report indicates that the Gunners will only agree to let Kiwior leave on loan if there is an obligation to buy attached. That may be a way of getting the transfer fee higher but giving Napoli the ability to spread payment out over a longer time.
