Dennis Schroder is having one of the best seasons of his NBA career, and yet the Brooklyn Nets may still part ways with him soon.
The 31-year-old guard is averaging 18.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game this season, and there are countless rumors about him being sent to another team before the February trade deadline.
But what will the Nets ask for in return for him?
According to Brian Lewis, per NBACentral, the Nets will likely request a first-round pick in any trade that involves Schroder.
So, which team will be willing to offer that?

When Schroder came to the Nets last season, some people thought he wouldn’t make much noise and the team would be middling at best.
And while the Nets have certainly suffered some struggles recently, Schroder has played very well.
His consistent performances have gained a lot of attention from fans and other front offices.
Some Brooklyn fans wish the Nets would hold onto Schroder and not trade him, but the team is thinking of the future and is willing to part with a number of players to acquire promising draft picks and other players.
There is a chance the team looks radically different after the trade deadline passes, and Schroder could be heading to a new location.
The Nets know they have something special with Schroder, and they want a lot from any team that wishes to sign him.
He could bring some serious win-now talent to contending teams, so it’s very likely the Nets will get what they want and that first-round pick will be theirs soon.
