Patrick Queen Names The No. 1 RB In The NFL

The Pittsburgh Steelers are riding high right now, but that might be short-lived.

Mike Tomlin’s team will hit the road to square off against one of the hottest teams in the entire league: the Philadelphia Eagles.

With that in mind, star linebacker Patrick Queen tipped his hat to Saquon Barkley ahead of the contest.

Talking to the media, the former Baltimore Ravens star claimed that Barkley was the best running back in the league right now, dissecting his game and what made him so dangerous (via Aaron Becker):

“I think Saquon’s got that title this year. You see what he’s doing. He’s unstoppable right now. … Just all around a good back. Elusive. Strong. Can make multiple guys miss at one time,” he said.

It’s hard to disagree with that statement.

Even an elite linebacker like Queen and a dominant defense like the Steelers might find plenty of trouble getting a hold of the Penn State product.

Barkley has posted MVP-caliber numbers this season, and he should run away with the league’s Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Through 13 games, the former New York Giants star has excelled with his new team.

He currently leads the league in rushing attempts (266), rushing yards (1,623), rushing yards per attempt (6.1), and rushing yards per game (124.8).

Also, the only reason why he’s not the league leader in rushing touchdowns is because of the Eagles’ infamous “tush push” play and all the touches they give Jalen Hurts at the one-yard line.

Barkley has been arguably the most impactful signing of the offseason.

The Eagles’ elite running game and offensive line are pounding opponents on the ground, and this might be the toughest challenge the Steelers face all season.
