Sean Dyche’s role as Everton manager has been under some severe scrutiny this season thanks to the Toffees’ decidedly mixed form in the Premier League.
The Toffees currently sit 15th in the Premier League but find themselves just four points adrift of 14th-placed West Ham United thanks to their 4-0 win over Wolves on Monday.
Several names have already been linked with the Toffees’ hot seat, including Gareth Southgate and Massimiliano Allegri (TBR).
While nothing is yet set in stone, as per recent reports in Italy, Allegri hasn’t been contacted by The Friedkin Group regarding the head coach role at Roma (Calcio Mercato, 10 December), which makes it seem as if it’s unlikely they’d contact him for the job at Goodison Park either.
“The Americans haven’t called me,” Allegri said in response to Roma fans asking about his future.

Why Everton and The Friedkin Group should keep Sean Dyche in charge
At the moment, it feels highly unlikely that Dyche will be sacked before his contract expires at the end of the season, especially since financial reasons aren’t behind why the Englishman is still in his role [Alan Myers].
For the position that Everton currently find themselves in, on paper, it doesn’t feel like there’s a much better manager for the job than Dyche.
The former Burnley boss is a survival specialist and helped keep the Clarets in the top flight for numerous seasons.

While his style of play might not be the most enthralling, it’s undeniable that it gets the job done and helps his team earn points.
Indeed, they may still find themselves in a relegation battle this season but if they can find the form they showed against Wolves and put that into practice for the rest of the season, it feels like they’ll be more than safe.
But even if TFG do opt to make a change, Allegri may have just hinted it won’t be him coming to Goodison Park.
