Brian Windhorst Names 2 Stars To Watch Near Trade Deadline

The NBA trade deadline is approaching and everyone is already enjoying the rumors springing up across the league.

According to Brian Windrhost, NBA fans should keep a close eye on two basketball superstars before the deadline.

He said the Golden State Warriors want two trade targets: Jimmy Butler and LeBron James.

But according to a video shared by Evan Sidery on X, the Warriors have a much better chance with one of those players.

The Warriors’ top trade targets are LeBron James and Jimmy Butler, per @WindhorstESPN.

It is becoming more and more likely that Butler will be leaving the Miami Heat this season.

If that happens, the Warriors will definitely be in the mix to sign him, and they are going to monitor his situation with the Heat in the weeks ahead.

The Warriors covet another A-list, big-name star to play alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green and Butler could be the person they have been waiting for.

However, Windhorst also said they want James, who is still one of the most important players in the league as he nears 40 years old.

James stated his commitment to the Los Angeles Lakers last season, but that was before he played with Steve Kerr and Curry in the Paris Olympics.

Perhaps that softened him up to the idea of moving to Golden State.

Windhorst said that James wishes to remain with the Lakers and hopes his current team gets better.

He has the last say about where he plays, so he isn’t going anywhere unless he demands it.

That means signing Butler is more likely, but the Warriors will have some stiff competition if they try to acquire the Miami Heat star.

Even without anything being official, he is already one of the most talked-about trade targets out there.
