It feels like we hear rumors about the Chicago Bulls making moves right before every trade deadline, and this year will be no different.
The Bulls will likely pursue several roster adjustments before the deadline, and they could attempt to cut ties with Zach LaVine once again.
But according to Brian Windhorst, via Evan Sidery, there remains “no interest” in any team trading for LaVine.
Sidery wrote:
“LaVine’s large contract appears to yet again be a massive hurdle the Bulls won’t be able to overcome in any potential trade talks.”

Some people are surprised to hear the Bulls want to end things with LaVine because he is averaging 22.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game on 50.6 percent from the field and 43.2 percent from the three-point line.
But the Bulls have been toying with the idea of losing LaVine for a few years, partly because of his massive contract.
They still owe him a lot of money, and they’d much rather spend that cash elsewhere on other talent.
The Bulls are currently sitting as the tenth team in the East with a 10-15 record and might struggle to reach the playoffs.
They’d like to send LaVine to a different team and receive several other players, or draft picks, in exchange for him.
But front offices across the league are hesitant to handle LaVine because of his salary, so the Bulls will either have to get creative or get used to LaVine being in their lineup.
They have reportedly been in this position before and didn’t find a new home for LaVine.
