LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The man who has quarterbacked the Louisville Cardinals to a berth in the Sun Bowl on New Year’s Eve says he will not be playing in the game.
Tyler Shough, a 6′ 5″, 255 pound redshirt senior from Chandler, Arizona, transferred to Louisville for the 2024 season after playing three seasons at Texas Tech.
In a post on X, Shough said, “I’m especially grateful to the Louisville community for embracing me this year and to \[Head\] Coach Jeff Brohm and \[Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks\] Coach Brian Brohm for their guidance and belief in me.
In closing, Shough said, “After much thought, I’ve decided to not participate in the Sun Bowl and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
