4 Teams Are Showing Interest In Trading For Robert Williams

The Portland Trail Blazers, currently the 13th team in the Western Conference, might be making big plans for the upcoming NBA trade deadline.

They may be willing to trade away multiple players, including big man Robert Williams.

According to Evan Sidery, several teams are showing interest in Williams.

Sidery is reporting that the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Houston Rockets are “among the contending teams who have recently checked in on Williams.”

Several teams want Williams, but which one will end up getting him?

Williams is scoring 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game this season, spending 18.7 minutes on the court during his seven games.

As you can see, Williams hasn’t participated in every game because injuries have once again been a problem for him.

This is something that all teams should think about because it is clear that Williams’ history with injuries isn’t going away.

He only played in six games last season and 35 the season before, which was his last with the Boston Celtics.

In fact, Williams has never played a full season since joining the league in 2018-19.

That is obviously very concerning, but Williams also brings many positives too.

He is a strong and smart big man who would help the frontcourt of many teams.

The Bucks, Lakers, Suns, and Rockets all have shortcomings in their frontcourts right now, so it’s not surprising to see them attached to rumors about Williams.

But now one of them will have to put together a package that the Trail Blazers can’t say no to.

They will be sellers in the upcoming trade market, so they will likely wait for the sort of deal that makes them really happy.
