Massimiliano Allegri has been left in hysterics after he attempted to dodge questions about where his future lies amid recent links with West Ham United.
The Hammers currently sit 14th in the Premier League with Julen Lopetegui holding onto his job by a thread, with Monday’s (9 December) 2-1 win over Wolves earning him some respite.
Several names have already been linked with taking over the hot seat with David Moyes linked with a return and Allegri rumoured to be in the running to take over.
However, as per a report from Calcio Mercato (10 December), Allegri said the following about his future while walking away laughing.
“How are things going with English? Very good,” he said. Further probed on the West Ham speculation as he tried to leave an event, as quoted by Football Italia he jokingly added: “Where’s the exit? Where’s the exit.”

With a reaction like this, it feels likely there could be a semblance of truth to the reports.
If the Hammers could bring the Italian to the London Stadium, it could be one of the best things to have happened to them recently.
West Ham United could do a lot worse than Massimiliano Allegri
Ever since the start of the season, questions have been asked about whether Lopetegui was the right man to lead West Ham into their new era.
Last season, the Hammers finished ninth in the Premier League and ended the term with the fourth-worst defensive record in the division.
Since then, an impressive amount of money was spent on bolstering their ranks in the summer with a particular focus being on their defensive line.
While that seems to be on it’s way to getting fixed thanks to the decent performances of Max Kilman and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, their midfield is now what is letting them down.

Allegri would likely be the breath of fresh air that’s needed around the London Stadium camp and, as his playstyle is so different to the Spaniard’s, it could be a key move for the team’s future successes.
Only time will tell what the future holds but at the moment, it seems that Hammers fans are stuck with the former Wolves boss.
In other West Ham news, Real Betis have had their stance shared regarding the potential return of Guido Rodriguez.
