It’s become apparent that the Golden State Warriors will likely make some changes before the upcoming NBA trade deadline, but it’s not clear which ones.
Several names are floating around the Warriors, so the front office is considering multiple players.
But one name they are not interested in is Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans.
According to Evan Sidery, the Warriors have “not shown any interest” in Ingram.
Instead of working with the Warriors, the Pelicans instead “plan to survey the trade market once more on Ingram’s expiring $36 million salary.”
Sidery noted that “Ingram continues to seek a near-max figure on his next contract, which has complicated trade negotiations.”

Ingram’s split from the Pelicans has been coming for some time, but it’s been met with multiple setbacks.
Last summer, it felt like Ingram would be leaving New Orleans but the team wasn’t able to find a team that wanted to take him and his salary.
Ingram seemed ready to go, and there were reports of him sitting out of the team’s summer mini-camp.
Ingram has been playing well this season with an average of 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists, but that hasn’t stopped the rumors of him saying goodbye to the Pelicans.
Still, they are having a tough time appearing to other teams like the Warriors.
The Pelicans might have better luck as the trade deadline approaches, or Ingram could change his tune about seeking a near-max contract.
Otherwise, the Pelicans and Ingram could be stuck with each other.
