What News Does Warriors Injury Report Provide?

Fans at the Toyota Center will have their chance to see the Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets battle for the NBA Cup. Wednesday's second game of the ESPN doubleheader features two Western Conference teams battling for supremacy and a $500,000 bonus for whoever wins the tournament. However, more importantly, the injury report provides positive NBA Cup news to the fans.

Stephen Curry missed the Warriors' last contest vs. the Rockets on Dec. 5. However, even without their fearless, floor-expanding leader, the Warriors beat the Rockets 99-93 at the Chase Center. Much to Rockets fans' chagrin, Curry will suit up for the NBA Cup quarterfinal matchup.

Moreover, Green also didn't play against the much-improved Rockets in the aforementioned matchup. Yet, the injury report doesn't feature the controversial yet elite defensive star. Houston, indeed, has a problem.

However, despite the stars suiting up for the Warriors, a few role players are listed on the injury report. Without those players, the Warriors' defense will suffer, and as a team that leans on depth to win games, more pressure on Curry will make for quite the challenge for the road team.

Conversely, the Rockets have a few players on the injury report, which will affect the game's outcome. Expect a close match with playoff-level intensity, as Rockets head coach Ime Udoko will have his team prepared, making for a quality game for NBA fans.
