Rangers are ready to wave the Scottish flag in the Europa League very soon with Tottenham and Manchester United still to play.

Spurs come to Ibrox on Thursday 12 December with Ange Postecoglou back in town, but a trip to Old Trafford still remains in 2025.

It will be a mouthwatering tie for thousands of fans travelling south of the border, but the Premier League side are already getting fidgety it seems.

What have Manchester United done?

Despite not travelling to Old Trafford until 23 January, the Red Devils are complaining about the following Premier League game against Fulham.

The Craven Cottage showdown on 26 January has already seen an objection, with United pushing back the kick-off time to 7:00 pm after objecting to a proposed noon kick-off [The Times].

It is said that Manchester United and other Premier League clubs believe 72 hours is the minimal player recovery time needed, rather than the 62 hours it could have been.

What absolute nonsense.

Despite recent apparent excuses from Philippe Clement, that is one thing that he hasn’t complained about following numerous trips away in Europe.

Looking back, Rangers kicked off in the noon spot against Hibernian on 29 September, three days after the 2-0 win in Malmo to kick off the Europa League.

Again, they kicked off in that spot at St Johnstone on 1 December after the massive 4-1 win away at OGC Nice, so Manchester United can make all the excuses they want.

It is embarrassing for such an established team, who have spent hundreds of millions in recent years on their squad, to be making objections for after the game already.
