Manchester City travel to Italy to take on Juventus in their latest Champions League match. The Blues have failed to win any of their last two matches in this year’s competition and have won just one of their last nine matches in all competitions and a trip to the home of the unbeaten Italians would not have been high on their list.
As usual, our team are here to give us their gut feelings and try to predict the outcome in Turin.
Saul
Tricky match but one City really needs to win. 3-2 City off a vintage KDB and Haaland performance.
Juventus 2-3 City
Thomas
The uncertainty around City’s performances of late have Blue anxiety levels at 10-year highs. City need to get a result in this one if they hope to keep their knockout hopes alive. One thing I am confident of of a 1-0 result against an Italian side. But who gets the goal?
Juve 0-1 City
Will
City’s form isn’t the best but at the same time, Juventus are no longer the force in Italian football they were once were.
I predict a narrow City win in a stodgy game, setting the Blues up perfectly for the derby this weekend.
Prediction - Juventus 0-1 City
Pete
Difficult match after a difficult few weeks but unbeaten in two matches now. That’s progress I can’t see a City win but I’m predicting it anyway.
Juventus 1-2 City
What Happened Against Palace
2-2 it finished and while none of our team predicted a draw, a couple of us got the right number of goals. Actually, it was everyone but Saul who thought four goals would be scored on Saturday and so it was.
Thomas and Will went for 3-1 while Pete stupidly thought 4-0 to City.
Here’s the table:
