McManaman stunned by how good Liverpool have been in Europe this season
Speaking on TNT Sports coverage of the game, the former Liverpool star shared his amazement over how good the Reds have been this season in the Champions League, with McManaman stunned by how many wins the Merseyside giants are getting.
With a famous win against Madrid already in the bank, this season could go down in history for Liverpool as one of their best ever, and McManaman has been caught off guard with how good the Reds have been in Europe.
McManaman said: “I thought this transition would be quite seamless, but I’ve been very surprised with the results, without a shadow of a doubt. Going away to Milan, sure I expected to beat Bologna, but to go away and beat the Leverkusens and the Madrids and beat them easily, that has been surprising.
