Alisson Becker returned for Liverpool last night in their UEFA Champions League clash against Girona have missed two months of action due to injury.
The Brazilian international has been a staple for the Reds ever since joining from AS Roma in 2018, with Alisson showing last night against Girona why he is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world and an undroppable player for Liverpool.
With Virgil van Dijk impressed with what he saw from Alisson in yesterday’s Champions League tie, the 32-year-old shot-stopper didn’t look like he had missed a beat despite not playing in two months and being out injured on the treatment table.
And Alisson has now shared why he is so excited for Liverpool’s game this Saturday against Fulham.

Could Alisson start for Liverpool vs Fulham?
Alisson starting ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher for Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Girona was quite a surprise for some fans, mostly down to the fact that the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper has been exceptional in the last few weeks deputising for the Liverpool no. 1.
Yet with Alisson thrown straight back into the starting XI at the first possible chance, there’s almost a 100% chance that the Brazilian international will keep the spot for himself in upcoming Premier League and Champions League games.
Indeed, Shay Given has already urged Kelleher to leave Liverpool after being dropped last night for Alisson, yet based on the 32-year-old’s performance, it’s hard to say Arne Slot made the wrong call in bringing his no. 1 back into the fold.
