Meet TechHive, the new PCWorld home for smart home tech

PCWorld has been publishing reviews, news, and analysis of cutting-edge personal tech for more than 40 years. Over this time, we’ve built incredible trust with readers and manufacturers alike.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re expanding our coverage of personal tech by forming a more formal bond between PCWorld and sister site TechHive, which has been covering smart home and video streaming tech with passion and expertise since 2017.

Beginning this week, TechHive content will appear in a specially branded section on PCWorld.com, helping PCWorld reach a broader audience of tech enthusiasts interested in smart home security, video streaming, and other tech we use in our homes.

We’re confident our new TechHive section will help amplify our editors’ and writers’ expertise in all things smart home related. We’re also relaunching the TechHive YouTube channel to bring smart home tech to life in short- and long-form video. TechHive will be at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, covering smart home and personal tech in YouTube videos and right on this website.

You can still access TechHive’s legacy content on TechHive.com, but all new articles will appear on the new TechHive section, hosted by PCWorld. If you’re a long-time PCWorld reader, we hope you enjoy all the new articles and categories that TechHive brings to the mix.

And if you’re a long-time TechHive reader, rest assured we’re still committed to smart, penetrating, expert coverage of smart home tech, video streaming, and more.
