Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has suffered another injury setback just four appearances into his return to Eddie Howe's squad.
The 32-year-old has made just four cameo appearances so far this season for Newcastle after suffering with a combination of back and hamstring issues since the summer. With United keen not trigger his injury again, Howe had taken a cautious approach to introducing him back into the team.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Wilson looks set for more time on the sidelines with a fresh injury. It is understood the striker has suffered a hamstring injury which is likely to keep him out of the squad for the next two months.

Not only is it desperately sad news for Wilson, it also closes the door for Newcastle to gain a nominal fee for the Englishman this January. There had been talk of Wilson being sold this winter with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
It is not expected that Wilson will have his contract extended beyond this campaign but an exit in January is now off the cards with the former Coventry City man not able to pass a medical at a new club with an injury. It now looks likely that Wilson's career at Newcastle shall end with a whimper despite him being a noble servant for United.
In 112 appearances for the club, Wilson has bagged 48 goals and scored nine of these in just 20 Premier League appearances last season. With Wilson back out, Howe will be hoping that main striker Alexander Isak can continue to avoid injuries after missing a spell this season with a broken toe.
