Misa started on goal. In defense, Oihane started as the right back, with Rocío and Méndez as the CB duo, and Olga on the left back. Toletti and Angeldahl are the pivot duo, with Weir as a part of the front four together with Linda and Feller on wings, with Bruun leading the line.
The triangle on the left with Olga-Weir-Caicedo formed immediately and the attacks mostly came from the left-hand side for Las There were also some notable combinations between the star duo of Weir and Caicedo, like in the 3rd minute when they combined to enter Celtic's box and create danger. Lastly, the Scottish defense blocked before Linda could make a shot.
For the first half an hour of the encounter, there was only one shot from both sides, with the first being by Angeldahl from a distance in 29' - only a minute before the first goal.
30': GOAL (0-1) by Signe Bruun: Linda and Bruun there up front with a lot of space left in front of them. Linda decided to pass to Bruun instead of going for a dribble and the striker took a long-distance shot which ended up inside the net. This was Bruun's 4th goal in 4 matches
There was not much action from the right-hand side in the first half. Madrid's danger came from the left, with Linda Caicedo in the middle of all of them. Towards the end of the first half, Angeldahl gravitated toward the left as well, even dropping to the left-back position at times to cover when Olga would go up.
There were no substitutions at halftime but it looked like a formation change to a sort of a 4-4-2 with Bruun and Weir up front. This allowed for Weir to pull back and make triangles on the right-hand side, while Toletti and Angeldahl took turns to form the left triangles. Feller on the right wing could get to the ball more easily and started with crosses from 56'.
70': GOAL (0-2) by Signe Bruun: Feller got into the groove and sent a cross from the right wing to Bruun waiting on the far post to head it in.
First real chance for Celtic came in 77' when Saoirse Noonan's shot was denied by Misa, getting their first corner kick of the game there too.
With Toril's first sub at 72' - Athenea and Shei coming on for Weir and Oihane - Linda moved to the position of #10 while Athenea took the left wing. This lasted until 84' when Møller and Tere got on for Feller and Angeldahl. Linda then switched to the right wing and Møller took to role of #10. Six minutes before this change, Alba Redondo had gone in for Bruun.
85: GOAL (0-3) by Alba Redondo: a cross by Sheila to the center of the box found Redondo who masterfully finished off with a header and put a cherry on top on this match.
Another 3 points for Las Blancas to seal the fate after previously qualifying for the next round on matchday 4.
