DECEMBER 11, 2024 GIANTS INJURY REPORT – 19 PLAYERS ON THE INJURY REPORT…
QB Drew Lock (heel/left elbow), OG Jon Runyan (ankle), OT Evan Neal (hip/ankle), DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches (neck/shoulder), ILB Bobby Okereke (back), and CB Andru Phillips (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday.
“I would not say (Lock is) doing great,” said Head Coach Brian Daboll. “He’s in a boot. He has a heel (injury). He won’t practice today. He won’t be out on a practice field today. Can’t tell you if he’d be ready to go right now. So, (quarterback) Tommy (DeVito) will get all the reps.”
When asked if Okereke may be placed on Injured Reserve, Daboll responded, “There’s a possibility of that. There’s a possibility.”
On Runyan, Daboll said, “I don’t think he’ll make this week. Could be longer but I don’t think he’s going to make this week.”
WR Malik Nabers (hip), WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton (shoulder), OT Jermaine Eluemunor (quad), OT Chris Hubbard (knee), OT Josh Ezeudu (knee), OC John Michael Schmitz (neck), OC Austin Schlottmann (fibula), DT Jordon Riley (knee), CB Tae Banks (rib), CB Cor’Dale Flott (quad), CB Art Green (quad), and S Dane Belton (knee) were limited in practice.
ILB Dyontae Johnson (ankle) fully practiced.
Austin Schlottmann, who has been on Injured Reserve since late August with a broken fibula, has been designated for return and returned to practice. The Giants now have a three-week practice window with him.
MORE ROSTER MOVES – TYLER NUBIN PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE…
After making seven roster moves on Tuesday, the Giants made a few more on Wednesday. S Tyler Nubin (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve.
The team signed CB Divaad Wilson to the 53-man roster from the Practice Squad of the Arizona Cardinals. They also signed OL Jalen McKenzie to the Practice Squad.
The 24-year old, 6’0”, 195-pound Wilson originally signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft. The Jaguars waived him in September 2023 and he was then signed to the Practice Squad of the Cardinals. In the past two seasons, Wilson has played in four regular-season games with one start, accruing five tackles.
The 25-year old, 6’5”, 315-pound McKenzie originally signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2022 NFL Draft. He has spent time with the Titans (2022), Seattle Seahawks (2022-2023), Las Vegas Raiders (2023-2024), and New England Patriots (2024). He has yet to play in a regular-season game.
