Ipswich Town U18s were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup after losing 3-2 to AFC Bournemouth in the third round at Eastleigh’s Silverlake Stadium this evening.
The young Cherries opened the scoring in the 21st minute via Charlie Stevens, but Town levelled in the 40th minute when captain Luke Towler bundled home after Jamie Mauge had hit the post.
However, the host regained their lead on the stroke of half-time when Stevens turned provider picking out Jonny Day in the middle who stroked the ball past Josh Bentley in goal.

The young Blues pushed for an equaliser in the remaining 30 minutes, but were unable to found it and were knocked out in the third round for a second successive season.
