Keon Coleman provides major update on his Week 15 status

The Buffalo Bills have been rattled with injuries this season all year long, but it hasn’t affected them too much. Being at 10-3, the Bills find themselves looking into the distance for the top seed in the AFC, but those chances took a bit of a hit last Sunday with them losing to the Rams in a thrilling high-scoring game. Not to mention, the Kansas City Chiefs literally doinked the ball off the goal post to nail a game-winning field goal to stay ahead of the Bills in the standings.

Even though the Bills haven’t been decimated with injuries like some teams in the league, they also haven’t been fully healthy all season long. However, going into Week 15 against a tough Detroit Lions team, the Bills might be getting back their rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman who hasn’t played since Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.

Coleman suffered a wrist injury at the hands of former Bill, Jordan Poyer when Buffalo defeated Miami and he hasn’t been in action since then. Coleman spoke with the media and made it clear that he is “looking forward to playing on Sunday”, per Alex Brasky.

Coleman hasn’t been a superstar by any means, but he sure has made an impact throughout the season. The 33rd overall pick has 22 receptions for 417 yards and 3 touchdowns in nine games. His best game came against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7 where he had 4 catches for 125 yards.

With Coleman potentially coming back into the lineup, this will force opposing defenses to put some attention on him which could leave someone like Amari Cooper or Khalil Shakir one-on-one with a defender. The Bills’ offense has been fantastic throughout this season and they haven’t scored under 30 points since Week 6.

Heading into the final month of the regular season, the Bills need to get healthy for their playoff run. Coleman will have to play a key role in the offense if the Bills need a big play down the field. He has shown the ability to reel in those tough catches where he has to jump for it.
