A.J. Brown Responds To Wild Eagles Rumors

A.J. Brown needed to do one thing Wednesday afternoon to quell the concern the Philadelphia Eagles were having over the last 72 hours.

That's exactly what he did.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday a few days after stating that the team's passing attack was an issue and needed to be improved, Brown made it clear that those original comments weren't a reflection of his thoughts against his quarterback.

As for Brandon Graham's alarming comments on Monday stating that Brown and Hurts' previous friendship has changed? All is well, the receiver asserts.

"That was just BG being BG. In that case, he misspoke. Me and Jalen are good," Brown said.

Rumors of a rift between Brown and Hurts had started as early as the end of the 2023 season when the Eagles dropped six of their final seven games. After a mental reset from the organization, the Birds agreed to a long-term deal with Brown to make him the highest-paid receiver in NFL history at the time.

While Philadelphia's passing attack has been far from excellent this season - they are among the worst in the league in yards through the air - the team has used a strong running game and defense to jump to an 11-2 start.

Brown and the entire offense want to have their passing game improved, though, and it's hard not to see why. Even so, that doesn't mean this rumored rift has gone on for another season.

Brown essentially did what he could to squash that in the best way possible Wednesday.

One enormous sigh of relief from the fanbase later, the Eagles appear to be full steam ahead to trying to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in a game that could end up clinching the NFC East for the Birds.
