Arsenal should have been out of sight at the break after a host of first half chances, but had only Bukayo Saka’s 34th minute strike to their name when the teams went in for half-time.
Monaco were far better in the second period, with some dangerous moments, but late goals from Saka again and Kai Havertz gave us the cushion and three important Champions League points to keep us well up the elongated table.
