The Baltimore Ravens, holding an 8-5 record, are navigating a season marked by both promise and inconsistency. Their recent 24-19 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles highlighted ongoing challenges, like making defensive stops when they need to, getting flagged for every penalty under the sun, and cutting drives short with poor playcalling.
Despite these setbacks, the Ravens remain one of the better teams in the AFC. Lamar Jackson is leading an electric offense, but the team is far from perfect.
Currently holding the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoff picture, the Ravens sit two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. With the postseason within reach, Baltimore must shore up key weaknesses, including their inconsistent pass rush and shaky secondary. The 2025 NFL Draft gives the Ravens a prime opportunity to plug these holes and build a roster capable of giving Lamar everything he needs to take home the Lombardi Trophy.
Focusing on enhancing the defensive line, adding depth at linebacker, and securing a reliable wide receiver could be pivotal in elevating the team's performance in the forthcoming season.
Round 1, Pick 24: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
Walter Nolen, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive tackle from Ole Miss, is a powerhouse on the defensive line. Known for his explosive first step and ability to disrupt both the run and pass, Nolen is a versatile playmaker.
I haven't been overly enamored with many of the prospects I have watched so far for the 2025 #NFLDraft, but this Ole Miss DT Walter Nolen is a certified dude.

His strength and athleticism allow him to dominate at the point of attack, consistently drawing double teams and freeing up edge rushers. Adding Nolen to Baltimore’s front would address their need for an interior disruptor, pairing perfectly with Travis Jones to bolster the interior pass rush and run defense.
Round 2, Pick 55: Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU
Harold Perkins Jr., a 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker from LSU, is renowned for his exceptional athleticism and versatility. His explosive speed and fluidity make him a formidable presence both in pass coverage and as a pass rusher.

Perkins has demonstrated a unique ability to disrupt offenses, whether by sacking quarterbacks or defending against the pass. His dynamic playmaking skills would significantly enhance Baltimore's linebacker corps, providing a much-needed boost in both defensive coverage and pressure.
Round 3, Pick 86: Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State
Tory Horton, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound wide receiver from Colorado State, has been a consistent playmaker throughout his collegiate career. After transferring from Nevada, Horton quickly became the Rams' primary offensive weapon, recording back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

His precise route-running and reliable hands make him a dependable target in critical situations. Horton's ability to generate yards after the catch adds a dynamic element to his game, making him a versatile threat on the field. Adding Horton to the Ravens' receiving corps would provide quarterback Lamar Jackson with the bigger-bodied receiver they currently lack with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.
