WASHINGTON -- The U.S. House of Representatives passed a record $895 billion defense budget for fiscal 2025 on Wednesday, which includes a clause intended to scale down Chinese lobbying activity in Washington.

The National Defense Authorization Act, which includes measures targeting Chinese activities seen as U.S. national security threats, was passed 281-140 and will now be sent to the Democratic-led Senate for a vote.
