Jalen Hurts Issues 2-Word Message on A.J. Brown Relationship

The Philadelphia Eagles won their ninth straight game in Week 14 with a 22-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers, but their reaction after the victory wasn't one you'd typically expect from a winning team. The result was rumors flaring up once again that suggested there was beef between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown.

While the Eagles beat the Panthers, Hurts only threw for 108 yards on the day. Brown led the way with four receptions for 43 yards, but he wasn't targeted until late in the second quarter, and he got open for several big plays that Hurts ultimately was unable to connect with him on.

Tense comments from Brown, plus some odd comments from veteran defensive lineman Brandon Graham, indicated that the relationship between the superstar wide receiver and Hurts was not where it needed to be. Hurts managed to clear the air at his press conference on Wednesday, though, with a simple two-word message.

"Jalen Hurts on his relationship with A.J. Brown: 'We're good.' On Brandon Graham's initial comments: 'BG knows he spoke out of place,'" Jeff McLaner of The Philadelphia Inquirer shared in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

This isn't the first time that rumors of tension between Hurts and Brown have surfaced, as their 2023 campaign came crashing down largely because of internal issues that existed in the locker room. For Philadelphia fans, seeing these sorts of headlines pop up during their recent win streak was very concerning.

Thankfully, it seems like Hurts and Brown have managed to clear up whatever sort of issues may or may not have existed between them. It's clear, though, that with a playoff berth already clinched, Philadelphia needs to focus on getting these two on the same page over their final four regular season games.

If Hurts and Brown can be in sync by the time the playoffs roll around, there's no doubt Philly will be one of the most difficult teams to face in the league. The Eagles dynamic duo will have a chance to get back on track when they face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.
