Mohamed Salah or Cristiano Ronaldo? Peter Crouch names player he prefers in Winner Stays On game

close

Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has chosen Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Mohamed Salah in the Winners Stays On game. The Englishman was given the option of Salah or Bukayo Saka at the start of the game and he chose the Egyptian.

Crouch continued choosing Salah ahead of Alexis Sanchez, Riyad Mahrez, and Raheem Sterling. The former striker also chose the former AS Roma star over David Beckham and took his time before opting for Salah instead of Ryan Giggs.

Crouch continued to pick the Liverpool ace ahead of Robert Pires, Gareth Bale, Sadio Mane, Eden Hazard, and Hueng Min Son. However, once Cristiano Ronaldo entered the fray, the Englishman chose the Portuguese icon over the Egyptian superstar.

While Mohamed Salah has achieved great success with Liverpool, he certainly falls short in front of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. Ronaldo took the Premier League by storm after arriving at Manchester United from Sporting CP in 2003.

He swiftly became one of the best players in the world before Real Madrid came calling in 2009. At the Santiago Bernabeu, Cristiano Ronaldo hit an even higher gear, achieving tremendous success over nine seasons.

He left Los Blancos in 2018 to move to Juventus, where he spent three years. After an underwhelming second stint with Manchester United, the Portuguese great moved to the Middle East in December 2022 to join Al-Nassr. He currently plies his trade with the Saudi Arabian club.
