Tee Higgins Makes Business Power Play Amid Joe Burrow Comments on His Value to Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals won a crucial road game against the Cowboys in Dallas on Monday Night Football earlier this week, showcasing what Joe Burrow's team is capable of doing on the biggest stage.

Bengals receiver Tee Higgins was outshined by his teammate Ja'Marr Chase on the day as he caught just two passes for 23 yards compared to Chase's stat line of 14 catches for 177 yards and two touchdowns.

Two days after the game, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow shared a positive message on Higgins' value to the team, which goes beyond the stat sheet on any given Sunday.

"He's very important," Burrow said of Higgins, who has 45 catches for 581 yards and five touchdowns this season.

"It's not even just his production, it's his presence. It's how he comes to work every day, how the defenses have to play us when he's out there. Tee plays such a big part in what what we do here and has for five years now," Burrow added.

"I don't think you can quite put a value on that.:

On the same day, Bengals beat reporter Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer shared news of a major business move by Higgins in preparation for the future.

"Tee Higgins and NFL agent David Mulugheta have parted ways, a source told me," Conway wrote. "They are no longer working together. Higgins is currently playing on the franchise tag and will be seeking a long-term deal in the offseason."

The 5-8 Bengals currently have a 1 to 4 percent chance to make the playoffs according to NFL.com with a home game against the Tennessee Titans next on the docket.
