Sharjah Media City “Shams” has announced the launch of the “Shams Award for Arabic Content”, an initiative aimed at fostering a culture of excellence within the media industry.
This award has been developed in line with the vision of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
The goal is to encourage creativity and uphold a standard of excellence across all fields, ultimately fulfilling Shams’ ambition to continuously motivate media professionals and promote Arabic digital content, while supporting content creators and makers.
Rashid Abdullah Al Obad, Director of Shams, emphasised that the award seeks to recognise outstanding achievement and innovation in Arabic content production.
It aims to inspire creators and content makers to present their work in engaging and innovative ways that resonate with contemporary digital trends.
The award highlights the importance of meaningful and positive content that not only inspires future generations but also fosters cultural dialogue. By blending creativity with quality, the award aims to cultivate a competitive spirit among content creators across various domains.
It will honour the best contributions in four distinct categories, providing opportunities for recognition and visibility for their efforts.
Through this initiative, Shams aspires to build a unique platform that contributes to the development of the Arabic content industry and enhances both creativity and social influence within the media landscape, targeting a diverse range of creators engaged in various forms of Arabic content.
The award includes several categories: Best Short Film, Best Commercial Video, Best Arabic Podcast, and Best Social Media Content Creator. The application deadline for submissions is 10th January 2025.
