Fans Have the Same Complaint About Lakers’ Bronny James News

It sure looks like NBA fans are tired of all the attention that Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James is getting.

On Wednesday, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported that James is going to the team's G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, for their road game against the Valley Suns in Arizona.

For those not in the know, the Lakers have only let James play in South Bay's home games previously. Ahead of the showdown with the Suns, James has featured in three G League games, averaging 8.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 block per game.

"Sources: Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James will make his G-League road debut on Thursday in Phoenix against the Valley Suns," Haynes shared.

As mentioned, however, fans couldn't help but complain about the coverage that Bronny James is getting. Many pointed out that any other G Leaguer wouldn't have gotten the same attention from the media.

"This isn't newsworthy," a commenter wrote. Another X user echoed the same sentiment, saying, "Respectfully, why is this news."

"The news that everyone cares about," a social media user sarcastically wrote.

"Bruh we don't need a report on this man. Let the kid be and let him play," a follower added.

Another critic shared, "If this was any other G League player it would NOT be reported."

"I get he's LeBron's son but nobody cares," a sixth poster further stated.

Unfortunately for the critics, Bronny James' popularity warrants the attention he's getting. While he is far from the player that his father is, the fact remains that he's LeBron James' son, who is trying to carve his own path in the NBA.

The Lakers drafted James with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, knowing very well that he's a project. That being said, regardless of his popularity, it's clear that the Purple and Gold are doing what they can to develop him.
